Privacy Policy

The Privacy Policy for daniellecloyde.com is simple. Your privacy matters to me (it’s one of the things I’m fighting for), your digital information will never go beyond this site and the hosting company WIX. There are two exceptions to this: Blog comments and donations. To help ensure the safety of commentors and myself, data of commentors will be recorded, including i.p. address' and names. This is in case threats are made, the police will be given the data of the offending party as threats will not be tolerated on this site. The other exception is information about donations, due to the fact that I plan on running for office one day, I will at the point of declaration for that endeavor need to start collecting data on donations. That data collected at that point will include your i.p. address, physical address, name and size of the donation and sent to the government.

The safety of your digital information is one of those things that should be ensconced in our laws. In Connecticut, you have the right to access, correct, delete, and port your data, while requiring businesses to protect data, get consent for sensitive data, and limit collection. Since the owner of this site resides in Connecticut I will honour our Connecticut Data Privacy Act no matter where you are.
