We are the United States of America

A union of states, working together to form a more perfect country. We the people have the ability to bargain with our government as a collective group. We do this by exercising our right to vote. We can choose to treat each other with compassion if we so wish, thereby strengthening our bargaining position. When we stand united, we have the ability to protect our most vulnerable people from those that would seek to exploit or otherwise harm them.

Over the course of the next few months I'm going to try my best to outline my understanding of the problems that we face as a country, and how I think we can work on them together. To preface, I am not a subject matter expert in any of these fields, just a person who has observed the country from different vantage points. My love for the United States of America stems from the people, the ones I've met over my lifetime, those that have shared their thoughts, aspirations, and troubles with me. And those that I was only able to glimpse from afar. From these interactions I know that the average American just wants the ability to thrive, not at the expense of others, but with them instead. I have watched people volunteer their time and energy in events of flooding, extreme cold, and just day to day. Together we can be an unstoppable force for good, we don't need to fight to prove that it's possible, we just have to stand together and say as one that this country of ours is enough for us all to thrive.

Over the past few weeks light has been shone on the Epstein Class, those that have no qualms about exploiting others for their own personal gain or amusement. It is becoming more clear that as one the people of this country have had enough. Republican leaders around the country are choosing to resign or simply not run again in the future. This is because the actions of a few have tainted the whole to the point where these select members of congress know that they will not be able to win their seats in an upcoming race. The message is loud and clear, the actions of the current administration have been egregious enough that they have to retreat. Instead of doing so, they are choosing to double down, hoping to distract the public, but they have miscalculated, there is nothing that can distract from this.

We deserve better than a group of people who think they are above common decency, let alone the law. We deserve people who are willing to take responsibility for their actions, those that would learn from their mistakes, and work to never repeat them. Those who would do their best to never harm the American people in the first place.
