The goal of this body of work is to address poverty in the United States of America with the understanding that when we, as a society, take care of our most vulnerable populations, we end up taking care of everyone. Things just get better for everyone.
In many ways our current government has given us a fresh slate to do so by defunding and gutting our agencies and instituting a policy of critical incompetence instead.

The main theory that I will be operating with is a theory of interlocking safety nets. While the stated goal is poverty, the real goal is to heal the massive divisions within the people of the United States, to do so we must address the issue of mental health. We are going to need to build interlocking communities until we are all part of one super-community, as the people of the United States standing together side by side. The work will be hard, and we will need to remain constantly vigilant for things that could harm it and entities that would seek to derail it. The truth is that the United States of America is strongest when its people stand as one, and we use our vast diversity to our benefit.

What makes me qualified to discuss these things? In December of 2025, I graduated from Central Connecticut State University Summa Cum Laude, double majoring in Economics and Political Science, entering the national honor societies for each discipline. I have interned for the Connecticut General Assembly under Representative Toni Walker of New Haven, the co-chair of the state's Appropriations Committee, chaired both the Juvenile Jurisdiction Planning and Implementation Committee and the Juvenile Jurisdiction Policy and Operations Coordinating Council. I was the president of my school’s Political Science club, putting together discussion panels covering Healthcare Access, Understanding Climate Change, and Inflation/Supply Chains, utilizing professors and professionals in their fields. I am also the creator of a holiday for knitting, called Worldwide Knit in Public Day (under my former last name) that was meant to bring knitters of all backgrounds together. I have a long history of jumping into things in order to address problems that I see and finding solutions that are community based, because to me the best solutions come from working together. We can overcome any obstacle when we choose to do so.
